Digital Learning Favorites

Creating and using digital resources has always been one of my passions. I saw the benefits of digital resources before it was necessary due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Student engagement has been one of my main focuses and I have found that, for many students, digital and electronic activities can be the most engaging!

The following resources are a few of my favorite digital resources to use with my students. These resources can be used as you finish out your school year online with your kiddos and as engaging activities for the upcoming school years. The best part about these resources is that they require minimum to no preparation from the teacher! 😊

1. Number and Operations- Fractions Practice

This Number and Operations with Fractions practice is so cool because it includes both links to instructional videos and five digital worksheets for each skill. Within this resource the skills are split into ten common core standards and can be shared digitally with your students to practice these skills. Prior to the school closings, I used this as a way for students to work on skills individually or with small groups that they had not yet mastered. It is a great way to differentiate to multiple groups of students at one time.

2. Number and Operations- In Base Ten Practice

The Number and Operations In Base Ten Practice resource is the same as the Fractions Practice but with a different focus. Like the Number and Operations- Fractions practice this resource also includes links to video explanations of the skills as well as five digital worksheets for each common core standard. This resource includes six of the common core math standards and can be used both through digital learning or for classroom use to reach a maximum number of students.

3. Fraction and Decimal Escape Room

This resource is the perfect way to practice or review fractions and decimals. The resource can be used digitally or printed. I used these escape rooms to review content in my classroom before assessments. The digital resource forces students to find the correct answer before continuing to the next door. Students truly enjoy this engaging activity!

4. Place Value Escape Room

Make math review or practice fun with this Place Value Escape Room. The escape room takes you on a journey and includes five separate activities. This activity can be done completely digital or printed out. It will take a group of fourth graders about 30 minutes to complete.

5. United States Regions Escape Rooms

The United States Regions Escape Room includes five digital or printed escape rooms. Each escape room takes your students on a adventure through one of the five regions in the United States. It reviews content regarding land and water, climate, products and natural resources, landmarks, and culture from each region. This is a great way to wrap up your unit and practice prior to an assessment.

If there is a specific standard you would like an escape room made for please leave a note in the comments! I would love to make more that will help meet each of your needs!
